North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region is encouraging non-governmental forces to participate in the region’s social assistance system, according to the region’s newly released measures on social assistance.

The measures, which will be officially implemented on December 1, mark a step toward legislation, systemization and standardization of the region's social assistance. They mapped out eight types of assistances, including the disaster relief, education and employment. The eight assistances’ ranges and work procedures were also detailed in these measures.

Non-governmental forces are now included in the region’s social assistance system. They are encouraged to participate through donations, supporting projects, services organizations and voluntary services.

Moreover, the region will offer preferential policies for such participation, such as financial subsidies and preferential taxes.
