2016-01-20 By Liu Shangjing (chinadaily.com.cn)

Even though temperatures in the city of Hulunbuir, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, fell as low as - 47 C (- 52 F), on Jan 19, China's coldest day this winter, some armed soldiers in a frontier detachment were busy making use of the inclement weather to continue with their training, for example, a 5-kilometer run, physical exercise, and team tactics to improve their rapid response capability under extreme conditions. Naturally, their caps and faces were covered with ice.
