Hohhot children learn Mongolian wrestling

2018-10-12

To promote and pass on ethnic culture and enrich its children's extracurricular lives, Minzu Experiment Primary School in Hohhot recently introduced Mongolian wrestling courses.

The school is equipped with a professional training center, and has appointed full-time coaches to guide the children in learning combat skills.

Bohk or Mongolian wrestling is one of the traditional sports activities on the renowned grasslands of the autonomous region. It was listed in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage by China’s State Council in 2006.
