The opening ceremony for the first promotional fair for Inner Mongolia autonomous region's agricultural and livestock products and grassland-themed films was held in Hong Kong on April 24.

The fair's theme is "Green, Cooperation, Brand, Development", and over 540 products from about 130 Inner Mongolian agricultural and livestock enterprises participated in the fair and three-day exhibition.

Local Hong Kong authorities said that the event would help build a green economic corridor between Hong Kong and Inner Mongolia and serve as a starting point for discussions, trade, and cultural exchanges between the two sides.

According to the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the fair takes full advantage of Hong Kong's geographical advantages and is meant to help build a large export platform for Inner Mongolian agriculture. It is also supposed to serve as an industrial exchange platform and promote "Inner Mongolian tastes" and Inner Mongolian films around the world.
