N China’s Baotou promotes logistics industry

Baotou, the largest city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has been making strides in its logistics industry by setting up four special industrial parks, according to an Aug 12 Baotou Daily report.

The four industrial parks, namely the Baotou Runheng Agricultural Product Logistics Park, Baotou Ruisheng International Auto Parts City, the Suning Western Inner Mongolia Logistics Center, and the CR Pharma Baotou Logistics Center, are all located in the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone.

Baotou Runheng Agricultural Product Logistics Park is the largest such park in the western part of Inner Mongolia autonomous region. It has a daily turnover of 20 million yuan ($2.83 million).

Baotou Ruisheng International Auto Parts City has attracted more than 400 tenants. In 2018, its total sales volume reached 3.5 billion yuan, providing more than 60 percent of truck parts and some car accessories for the city.

Since its establishment in 2013, the Suning Western Inner Mongolia Logistics Center has had an annual transaction throughput of more than 200,000 products. In 2018, its turnover was 423 million yuan. In the first half of 2019, total sales were valued at 605 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 198.5 percent.

CR Pharma Baotou Logistics Center provides more than 80 percent of drug logistics and distribution services for public hospitals in the city, with 800 million yuan in goods distributed annually.
