Baotou sees growth in foreign trade

The total value of imports and exports in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was 13.12 billion yuan ($1.84 billion) over the first eight months of 2019, an increase of 23.1 percent over the same period last year, according to baotounews.com.cn.

Baotou Customs is consistently working to streamline trade processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

From January to August, customs clearance time in Baotou averaged 4.5 hours for imports and 0.57 hours for exports, with the overall average being 60 percent less than in 2018.
