Baotou football accomplishments in 2015

  

The city of Baotou, Inner Mongolia had a fruitful year in football this past year, with many guests from China and abroad coming to watch matches and examine the grounds and the increasing number of adolescents wanting to play football and other people showing greater passion for sports and paying more attention to fitness and health. Today's Baotou is showing a strength and confidence as an exemplary model of football.

 

 

           More events and activities

Over the past year, the city held more than 6,300 events and matches, including the Asian middle school football championships, the Belt and Road international adolescent football summer camp competition, the China campus football division series, the Inner Mongolia employee football finals, and Inner Mongolia community football finals, with more than 46,000 people taking part.

 

                                           More investment and support

Last year was a year when Baotou got the most capital ever for football, with about 100 million yuan ($15.3 million) going to pitches and related work, and subsidies for events throughout the year.

            

                  More football fields

So far, Baotou has five football fields for larger games and three for smaller games around the national adolescent football summer camp in the city's Olympics Park, and three new fields for larger games on the Inner Mongolia University of Science and Technology campus, as well as 32 new enclosed fields for amateur football.

 

                                                                        More visitors

Thanks to the matches, more athletes came to Baotou in 2015, for exchanges and communication, helping Baotou's consumer spending and tourism. They came from the cities of Wuhan, Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dalian, Qingdao, Beijing and Tianjin and from countries such as Russia, Mongolia, South Korea, Singapore, India, Indonesia and Sri Lanka to compete.

 

Morepublic participation

Influenced by the growing passion for football, the people of Baotou took part in more physical fitness activities in 2015 than ever before.
