Tourism revenue sets new record during national holiday

Baotou, the largest city of North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, received 1.51 million tourists during the golden week period from Oct 1 to 8, and a year-on-year growth rate of 27.5 percent, reports Baotou Daily.

The total tourism revenue hit 942 million yuan ($142 million), with a year-on-year growth of 30.2 percent.

Facilities have been upgraded to boost tourism in key tourist attractions in the city including Wudang Lamasery, Chilechuan scenic area and Nanhai Wetland scenic area.
