An autonomous region-level investment promotion conference targeting small and medium-sized companies is to be held in Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Dec 10, according to a press conference held in Hohhot on Nov 22.

A total of 406 Inner Mongolia-based companies will attend the conference, among which, 154 are based in Baotou. The companies cover areas including equipment manufacturing, modern agriculture, high technology, tourism and education.

Baotou, the frontrunner in regional economic development, ranks first in the autonomous region in terms of the number of large-scale companies. Small and medium-sized companies have enjoyed a boom in the city over the past few years. The conference is expected to boost development of the companies and contribute to the regional economy.
