Baotou Vocational & Technical College
Baotou Vocational & Technical College is located the largest industrial city of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, the national civilized city -- Baotou. It was established in 1956, was approved by the Ministry of Education to be a vocational college in 1998. In 2004 it was identified by the Ministry of Education and other six ministries as one of the Colleges to Develop Nationally Demanded Skilled Workers.
Baotou Vocational & Technical College covers an area of 67 hectares with a building area of 352,600 square meters. The college boasts a total of 11 departments for teaching including Mechanical Engineering Department, Electrical Engineering Department, and Humanities and Art Design Department. And it also includes a school of continuing education, a national vocational skill appraisal institute, a national vocational qualification appraisal and training department. The college provides abundant practical training opportunities and it has 128 laboratories and training rooms, 284 off-campus training bases and 490 full-time teachers as well as 46 programs and almost 10,000 full-time undergraduates.
