National wrestling championship opens in Baotou

Some 300 athletes competing for 41 teams from cities and provinces including Beijing, Tianjin and Inner Mongolia autonomous region, participated in a national women’s freestyle wrestling championship opening in Baotou, Inner Mongolia on April 10, reports Baotou Daily.

Co-hosted by the Administration Center of Weightlifting, Wrestling and Judo of General Administration of Sports of China, and the Chinese Wrestling Association, the championship will run until April 13.

It is the first time that the championship has been held in Baotou city.
