Children from Xindi Kindergarten attended an activity organized by Baotou Ocean World to learn about marine life, according to an April 13 Baotou Daily report. 

The activity, hosted by Baotou Ocean World, was part of the aquarium’s move to educate children and teenagers in the city. The activity is scheduled to be held every Saturday.

Baotou Ocean World opened to the public on July 28, 2017; it covers an area of 30,000 square meters and is home to more than 1,000 species of fish.

It was chosen as a city-level demonstration base for science education in January 2018. It is the only demonstration base in Inner Mongolia autonomous region that focuses on marine life.
