By Lu Wei Updated: 2018-08-17

The sixth Nomadic Culture Tourism Festival, a showcase of regional grassland culture, opened in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 15, according to Baotou Daily.

The festival, presented by Baotou municipal government, included an opening ceremony, traditional Mongolian arts and performances, sporting activities and a music festival.

Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner has hosted the festival for five consecutive years and, with more than 100 activities at each festival, has actively promoted a deep union of culture and tourism.

New enthusiasm and energy is expected to ignite this year’s festival and provide a significant boost to the development of all-for-one tourism in the banner.

A nadam fair, this year in its 29th iteration, also opened the same day.
