Tumd Right Banner developing 'all-for-one' tourism

Tumd Right Banner, a banner under the administration of Baotou, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was chosen as one of China’s top ten demonstration counties and cities for development of all-for-one tourism, according to a list released at the 2018 China (International) Leisure Development Forum held recently.

“All-for-one” tourism is a concept that describes integrating various attractions and industries to maximize the appeal of a tourist destination and boost economic growth.

It is the only banner in the autonomous region that has been included on the list.

In 2017, the banner has spent 3.275 billion yuan ($472 million) building 20 key tourism projects. A total of 27 million yuan was spent running 330 tourism festivals. The banner has introduced more than 10 types of tourism festivals with the China Apricot Tourism Festival among them.

It received 2.65 million domestic and foreign tourists in 2017, with a year-on-year increase of 32.5 percent. The tourism revenue reached 1.56 billion yuan, with a year-on-year growth of 44.4 percent.
