First Machinery unit scores supply contract worth $13m
Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group Dadi Petroleum Machinery Co won a contract to supply vitally important components used in the oil and gas industry.
The company said it will manufacture and supply 430,000 sucker rods worth 87.08 million yuan ($12.67 million) in the first five months of 2019, according to the Baotou Daily.
Sucker rods are pipes that connect with a sucker rod pump that lifts crude oil from an oilfield reservoir through the well to the surface.
DADI Petroleum Machinery Co, one of the subsidiaries of Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group, is a Baotou-based company with strong technical prowess and is equipped with advanced manufacturing facilities.
The company started to produce sucker rods that accord with top international specifications in 1981. The sucker rods have been used in oil fields in the US. The products are recognized for their manufacturing technologies and excellent reliability.
The company was awarded the American Petroleum Institute certificate on April 16, 1982. The D grade sucker rod produced by the company was awarded a national silver medal in September, 1983 for its outstanding quality.
