Located to the north of Jianshe Road -- in Jiuyuan district in Baotou -- Baotou Olympic Park boasts a modern comprehensive sports stadium owned by the Baotou municipal government which was used to host the 11th National High School Student Games.

It covers an area of 400,000 square meters and has a total construction area of 80,000 sq m.

The Olympic Park boasts a sports zone which measures 2.5 million sq m. The park’s green area covers 1.84 million sq m.

Construction work on the Olympic Park started in 2014 and was completed on Aug 29, 2015.

This year the park has added 8,200 sq m of beautiful flowers such as echinacea purpurea, dahlia pinnata, carnations and verbena.

The best time for a visit is August, when the flowers are in full bloom.
