Activities promoting the culture and tourism of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region were held in Beijing on July 20-21, according to reports in the local media.

Sponsored by the Inner Mongolian Department of Culture and Tourism, the promotional events combined performances by the Ulan Muqir art troupe with an exhibition showcasing Inner Mongolian unique culture and tourist resources --  as well as promoting the region's traditional art, destinations and cultural and tourism products.

Organizers said that during the two-day promotion, performances presented by the Ulan Muqir art troupe held visitors spellbound -- fully demonstrating the magical culture and art of the region.

Adding zest to the occasion, in a pop-up shop the organizers set up six main areas to showcase the cultural and tourism resources of Inner Mongolia. Through interactive activities, visitors were able to enjoy a variety of distinctive cultural and creative products from the region.

The event will later be held in Shanghai, Zhengzhou, Henan province, and Guangzhou, Guangdong province in September and November to showcase the uniqueness of the region's tourism and culture resources.
