Baogang reports hike in monthly steel output

Baogang Group’s monthly steel output has hit 16.5 million tons in the wake of its new No 5 blast furnace coming into service, according to a July 21 report in the Baotou Daily.

Established in 1954, Baogang Group is based in Baotou and is the largest steel business based in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

It is one of the oldest iron and steel manufacturers in China, with a major factory located in the city.

It is also the country’s biggest scientific research and production base for rare earth metals.
