Qingshan district reports strong first half industry growth

The Qingshan district in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, reported steady growth for 48 industrial enterprises above a designated scale – companies with annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.9 million) or more -- in the first half of 2019.

According to a report in the Baotou Daily, their operating income in the six months increased 10.8 percent compared with the same period last year.

The growth rate is 2.8 percentage points higher than the corresponding period last year.

In terms of total operating income, the leading industries in the area are metals products, automobile manufacturing, electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing.

In terms of the growth rate of operating income, the top industries are electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing, non-metallic mineral products and food manufacturing.
