Contracts worth 3.3b yuan signed at beef, mutton meet
Contracts worth 3.3 billion yuan ($478 million) were signed at the sixth China Baotou International Beef and Mutton Industry Convention held in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.
Officials said that out of the total, the number of contracts signed by Baotou-based enterprises reached 1.7 billion yuan, accounting for more than half of the contract amounts.
The three-day event attracted participation of 340 domestic exhibitors covering areas including beef and mutton and deep processing products, cattle and sheep breeding, slaughtering and deep processing equipment, refrigeration and cold chain logistics equipment.
Some 70,000 visitors took part in the event.
