The sixth China Baotou International Beef and Mutton Industry Convention opened in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 26, according to local media reports.

The three-day event covered production, processing, sales and processing equipment for the beef and mutton sector.

Over the past five years, the annual convention has attracted the participation of more than 3,000 exhibitors from home and abroad and more than 2,000 buyers. The accumulated orders and sales have to date hit 30 billion yuan ($4.37 billion).
