The preliminary round of a choir competition is held in Hondlon district, Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 20. The event, in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China, attracted the participation of some 2,200 people in 30 choirs in the district.
