Nuclear body hosts annual academic conference in Baotou

Chinese Nuclear Society (CNS) hosted its 2019 annual academic conference in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Aug 21, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.

Wang Shoujun, a top official from the CNS, addressed the conference. He reviewed the achievements the body had made, analyzed the development of China's nuclear industry and nuclear technology in recent years, explaining the current overall situation to the meeting and pointed the way forward for the CNS.

Zhao Jiangtao, mayor of Baotou, presented a speech outlining the industrial development, scientific and technological innovation, urban construction and the status of the nuclear industry in Baotou city.

He also called for further cooperation with CNS in attracting investment to boost regional economic development.
