Young volunteers from the Baotou Vocational and Technical College are on hand on Aug 18 to offer first aid services to runners in the 1st Baotou International Marathon, the first international marathon to be held in Baotou. The event attracted around 16,000 participants from 33 provinces, autonomous regions and cities, including Beijing, Shanghai, and Inner Mongolia autonomous region, as well athletes from 11 countries, including the US, the UK, and Germany.
