The launch ceremony for an ambitious new media convergence center took place in Hondlon district, Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to an Aug 22 Baotou Daily report.

The center, covering an area of around 1,300 square meters, will bring together various media channels and platforms – from traditional media such as radio and newspapers, to new media such as online streaming.

It will not rely on a single medium, but rather integrate newspapers, radio, television, and the internet.
