Construction work on a spheroidizing agent production center by Sino-Glory Metal Industrial (Baotou) Ltd (SG Alloy) has been completed in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to an Aug 26 Baotou Daily report.

The center is currently undergoing trial operations.

Located in the Inner Mongolia New Materials Industrial Park, the production center covers an area of 20 mu (1.33 hectares), and features enhanced product quality with the addition of rare earth metals, increasing tensile properties and other mechanical properties of the castings.

The center consists of five sets of medium frequency electric furnaces with an intended production capacity of 40,000 tons, two combined crushing production lines, two automatic packaging lines, and two 3,600-square-meter workshops. Auxiliary production and ancillary facilities for power supply, water supply, fire protection, heating, and environmental protection have also been built.

After the center begins production, it is expected to make 410 million yuan ($57.32 million) in annual operating revenue, with its taxes hitting 11 million yuan.
