Baotou reports steady industrial economic growth
Industrial economic growth remained steady in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, with the income of industrial enterprises above a designated size increasing by 14.2 percent year on year in the first seven months of 2019, according to a Baotou Daily report on Aug 29.
The growth rate was 7.4 percentage points higher than the national average and 6.2 percentage points higher than the autonomous region’s average.
A total of 268 key projects worth more than 100 million yuan ($13.95 million) were confirmed over the first seven months of the year, and work on 248 of them has already begun. Around 24.3 billion yuan has been invested in the projects.
