Baotou adds more Xinhua Bookstores
Two more Xinhua Bookstores were established in Baotou in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to a Sept 5 Baotou Evening News report.
Their launch takes the total of Xinhua Bookstores in the city to 24.
One of the new additions is located in Xindushi area, which is part of Jiuyuan district. The facility, covering an area of 300 square meters, is a 24-hour bookstore. It boasts books worth up to some 500,000 yuan ($70,000) and comes equipped with tables and chairs for readers.
The other bookstore, located at the public security bureau of Baotou, covers an area of 70 sq m. Stocking some 3,000 books, it is also a 24-hour unmanned bookstore. In order to enhance the customer experience, the bookstore is equipped with tables and chairs and provides hot drinks and cold drinks.
