Baotou disease control center aids national verification
Baotou Center for Disease Control and Prevention – the CDC -- recently assisted in national verification of an important matter, according to local media.
Invited to do so by the Chinese Center for Diseases Prevention and Control, the local CDC helped out with the verification of the Standard Test Method for Anionic Synthetic Detergents in Drinking Water Project, the Baotou Daily reported.
Officials said that with the continuous development and use of scientific instruments, the current Standard Test Method for Drinking Water has not been applied to the inspection methods for new instruments and it required the verification of new methods.
The Baotou CDC boasts the required testing equipment and has made big achievements in the quality control assessment of drinking water projects that it has participated in over the years.
According to the requirements of the new project verification method, the Baotou CDC completed the verification project inspection work from July 17 to Aug 6 for 20 consecutive days and submitted the verification report on Aug 30. The verification report passed the audit.
Officials said that with its successful participation in the national project, the laboratory quality control methods of the Baotou CDC were standardized, laying the foundation for participating in more verification work in the future.
