800 students compete in robot competition
Some 800 students from primary and secondary schools in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, took part in a robot competition on Sept 1, according to a report in the Baotou Evening News.
The four-week competition, held at the Baotou Science and Technology Children’s Palace, featured eight categories including robot programing, a robot soccer game and indoor drone racing.
Baotou Science and Technology Children's Palace has been organizing robot competitions, targeting primary and middle school students, for 11 years.
They aim to provide a platform for exchanges and displays for students in the city, encouraging the application of multidisciplinary knowledge such as science, physics and mathematics.
