Children get stuck into a paper-cutting activity held at Baotou Science and Technology Museum, which was held in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of People’s Republic of China. Paper cutting is one of the most significant types of Chinese folk crafts, with a history that can be traced back to the Western Han Dynasty (206 BC-AD 24), when Cai Lun invented paper. Baotou paper cuttings feature nomadic culture and were listed as part of China’s cultural heritage in 2010. [Photo/Baotou Daily]
