An inspiring children’s ballet – featuring the participation of more than 120 young ballerinas from Baotou and Beijing -- was staged at Baotou Grand Theater in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Oct 5.

According to a report in the Inner Mongolia Daily the ballet, co-hosted by Baotou Grand Theater and The National Ballet of China, was based on stories depicting the lives of two widely celebrated and brave siblings, Rongmei and Yurong.

The ballet depicts stories of the two heroic sisters who risked their lives to protect their herd in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner, a banner under the administration of Baotou.

The story has touched the hearts of many across the country for their bravery and persistence.

The ballet will start a national tour in 2020 with Beijing as its first stop.
