A power switching tip truck produced by Beiben Trucks Group Co was officially delivered to Baogang Group recently, according to a Sept 30 Baotou Evening News report.

The dump truck, co-developed by Beiben Trucks Group Co and State Power Investment Co, is the world’s first 8×4 power switching mode dump truck.

The tip truck adopts the Beiben Truck V3 mid-long cab, and Mercedes-Benz’s front and rear axle technology.

It is equipped with a 365 kilowatt permanent magnet synchronous motor and AMT transmission and its cruising range is up to 210 kilometers.

The dump truck battery charging time is 1.5 hours and the vehicle can be placed in power exchange mode in only 6 minutes, which greatly increases the vehicle’s operating efficiency.
