An Inner Mongolian drama called Daguo Gongjian – literally, Craftsmen of the Nation -- is to be staged at the 21st China Shanghai International Arts Festival on Oct 25-26, according to the Baotou Evening News.

The drama, produced by the Theater of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, depicts stories happening at Inner Mongolia First Machinery Group.

It integrates the ideals, affection, friendship and loves of the three generations of the workers engulfed by the torrent of history and traces the life stories of the craftsmen.

The drama is filled with strong craftsmanship and patriotism and the use of artistic means to create a unique stage atmosphere.

Currently, the drama is under rehearsal.

Hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and organized by the People’s Government of Shanghai, the arts festival is the only state-level arts festival in China.

Launched in 1999, the annual event has grown into an influential platform for cultural exchanges and one of the leading arts festivals in the world.
