Key projects take off in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner

Construction work on the key projects in Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner -- a banner under the administration of the city Baotou in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- is progressing well after a major infusion of funding, according to a Nov 14 report in the Baotou Daily.

Darhan Muminggan Joint Banner officials confirmed that a total of 61 key projects were in place for the current year, each worth 100 million yuan or above.

They said the total investment would be 24.496 billion yuan ($3.49 billion). Some 7.965 billion yuan will be invested in the projects by the end of 2019, the officials added.

Among the 61 key projects, 34 are ongoing projects with an investment of 10.74 billion yuan. In addition, 27 are new projects worth 13.76 billion yuan in total.

During the first three quarters of 2019, construction work on 57 projects resumed. Two projects were completed, with a total investment of 2.441 billion yuan.
