A monthly photography contest came to a close in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, with its last session held on Dec 3, according to the Baotou Evening News.

The event, held in the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, is held on the third day of every month, local officials said.

It gives Baotou residents the opportunity to display their photographic skills. The first session of the contest began in July.

Enthusiasts said that a total of 30 photos stood out during the six sessions of the contest.
