Baotou team shines in international robot competition
Children from Baotou Science and Technology Children’s Palace stood out among the teams from 27 countries and regions at the final of Makeblock MakeX Robotics Competition 2019 held recently in Guangzhou, South China’s Guangdong province, according to the Baotou Evening News.
There was fierce competition and the international teams came from countries including the United States, Japan, Turkey, New Zealand and India, the organizers said.
The Baotou delegation, taking part in the event on behalf of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, was among the top eight teams.
MakeX is a robotics competition platform that is aimed at promoting multidisciplinary learning within the fields of science and technology and encouraging young people to be engaged in the robotics competition and STEAM Carnival, the organizers added.
They said the MakeX Robotics Competition is one of the core activities of MakeX, providing challenging and high-level competition in the spirit of creativity, teamwork, fun and sharing.
Besides watching the robot competition, the audience can also enjoy large-scale parties, a variety of themed robot confrontation games and various STEAM education products to experience the fascinating attractions of technological innovation.
