Baotou cooperates with Huawei on industrial internet project
Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, is to join forces with tech corporate giant Huawei Technologies Co on an industrial internet cloud project following a strategic cooperation agreement signed on Dec 16, according to the Baotou Daily newspaper.
Under the terms of the agreement, three centers -- including Baotou Huawei Cloud Computing Center and three platforms including an industrial internet platform -- will be developed in Baotou city.
Officials said the agreement formulated a practical plan for the project, with both a macro vision and recent arrangements -- and formulated a roadmap for the development of the city's industrial internet.
Based on Baotou’s advantages in policies, resources and its market, the project will leverage Huawei's core technology advantages to boost industrial economic development in Baotou city.
Officials said that in particular the company will employ its advantages in cloud computing, big data and information and communications -- to jointly promote the development of industries such as cloud computing, smart city and the industrial internet.
