Updated: 2020-01-09

A new music room with 16 smart pianos was added at the Mongolian Primary School of Shiguai district in Baotou city, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on Jan 7, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.

The music room was part of the Lang Lang Art Foundation’s move to promote music education in the autonomous region.

Founded in March 2018 in Beijing, the Lang Lang Art Foundation helps provide children with an environment conducive to music education, with a music room charity project it launched called Happy Piano Keys.

According to staff members of the art foundation, it will next provide online and offline training for teachers at the school and conduct online music exchanges with the children.

In addition, children who stand out in piano playing will have the chance to perform onstage with Lang Lang.
