Baotou high-tech district records industrial enterprise development

The industrial added value of 98 industrial enterprises above a designated scale located in the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone -- located in Batou city in Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- reported year-on-year growth of 12.5 percent in the first 11 months of 2019, according to the Baotou Daily.

The term industrial enterprises above a designated size refers to businesses with an annual revenue of 20 million yuan ($2.89 million) or more.

During the 11-month period, the three leading industries -- rare earths, aluminum bronze and the electromechanical industry -- achieved a cumulative increase in industrial added value of 20.2 percent year-on-year, accounting for 73.4 percent of the total industrial added value above a designated size.

Of these, the added value of the rare earth industry increased by 20.7 percent year-on-year.

Officials said the added value of the aluminum bronze industry during the same period increased by 8.5 percent year-on-year, while the added value of the equipment manufacturing industry increased by 50.8 percent year-on-year.

The industrial added value of 84 non-public enterprises in the 11 months increased by 12.4 percent year-on-year, and the total amount accounted for 67 percent of the total industrial added value of the zone

Officials said a total of 25 high-tech enterprises in the zone achieved 29.9 percent year-on-year increase in industrial added value, accounting for 26 percent of the total industrial added value of the zone.

Some 49 enterprises in the field of strategic emerging industries realized a 24.7 percent year-on-year increase in industrial added value, accounting for 37.8 percent of the total industrial added value of the zone.
