6. Provide free technology consulting.

The institute will provide enterprises with free technical consultations and business training in metrology, standards, inspection and testing, as well as certification through video teaching and webcasting. It will establish an open platform for self-declaration of business standards in Baotou city and provide national standard online inquiries and text printing services at no charge. 

7. Inspections and sharing of testing resources.

The institute is to provide free sharing of large-scale instruments and equipment for small, medium and micro-sized enterprises in Baotou. It will make available at no charge a constant temperature and humidity laboratory, at its P2 biosafety laboratory site. It will establish special funds for scientific research, as well as strengthen cooperation with tech-based small and medium-sized enterprises to promote scientific and technological innovation. 

8. Carry out popularization of knowledge on epidemic prevention and control. 

The institute will give recommendations and advice on epidemic prevention and control for enterprises that have resumed work and production, on the Baotou Quality Infrastructure Public Service Platform and the public WeChat account of Baotou Quality Measurement and Testing. It will provide free technical information and science videos of infrared thermometers, masks and disinfection protection products to enterprises and citizens.
