A magnetic resonance diagnosis and treatment vehicle produced by Baotou Xibao Bowei Medical System Co departed Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region on March 5 -- heading for Wuhan in Central China's Hubei province, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.
Local officials said the medical vehicle will help with the novel coronavirus pneumonia prevention and control work in Wuhan, epicenter of the outbreak.
They said the vehicle boasts various major advantages which include its mobility, allowing it to be used for clinical diagnosis in different areas. Its scans are also benign, posing no risk to the human body scan and remote consultations can be conducted through its 5G communications system.

Baotou Xibao Bowei Medical System Co is a subsidiary of Beifang Rare Earth Group Technology Co, which is a leading company in the production of rare earths, research and trade based in the Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Baotou.
The company sent two technicians to Wuhan with the car to train local medical personnel on how to operate the vehicle and conduct on-site diagnoses and treatments.
After this donation, Beifang Rare Earth Group Technology Co will also donate another magnetic resonance diagnosis and treatment vehicle to the 14th National Winter Games Preparatory Committee.
