Construction work on the Xin’ao Menghua Logistics Park Project -- one of 635 key projects in Baotou each worth 100 million yuan ($14.20 million) or above -- has resumed in the city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, according to an April 13 report in the Baotou Daily.
The project mainly concerns the reconstruction and expansion of a refined oil depot with a storage capacity of 198,000 cubic meters.
More than 70 million yuan is being invested in the overall renovation and expansion, officials said.
After project’s completion, the park will have a product oil storage area with a storage capacity of 198,000 cubic meters, drawing an investment of 200 million yuan.
The logistics park is one of three logistics bases in Baotou city. It is being developed by Baotou-based Xin’ao Menghua Logistics Co, a large comprehensive logistics company integrating railway and highway intermodal transportation and storage.
The company has built seven special railway lines with a total length of about 5.4 kilometers, a 10,000 square meters hardened low platform and a special-purposes mechanical platform.
As one of the top 100 logistics companies in China, the company is well able to handle and store steel, diesel, hazardous liquid chemicals, white goods and special cargoes.
At present, a product oil storage area with a total storage capacity of 40,000 cu m has been built.
