Schools in Baotou -- the city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- resumed classes for their 7th, 8th, 10th and 11th grade students on April 26, according to local media reports.

The return to class involved some 100,000 students.

Thermal imaging thermometers were installed around the schools. Students must take their temperature measurements under a teacher's supervision before entering their school.

The schools have prepared hand sanitizers for students and added faucets for hand washing. Students are encouraged to wash their hands more often and are required to wear face masks on campus.

The schools have also set up isolation rooms and are equipped with protective clothing, disinfectants and ethyl alcohol.

According to school officials, once a student's body temperature is found to be high, staff will place he or she in an isolation room for observation and find out more about their travel history and contact history.
