Updated: 2020-06-05

An intellectual property or IP operations platform project was recently launched in Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone -- located in Baotou city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region -- according to a June 2 report in the Baotou Daily.

The project aims to further promote the integration of IP resources and  technological and financial innovation in the zone, as well as realize the drive to innovate and the industrial transformation and upgrading of the zone.

Officials said to date, the bid tendering and contract signing for the project have been completed.

They added that through value analysis of the IP rights of the scientific research institutes and enterprises in the zone, the project will build a network for an IP operations public service platform.

By publishing the IP operations of the scientific research institutes and companies based in the zone on the platform, the value-added IP channels will expand and the innovative capabilities of its residents is expected to be enhanced.
