Baotou stages biennial oil painting exhibition

A biennial oil painting exhibition opened in Baotou, in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region on July 23, displaying more than 20 works depicting the region’s landscape and ethnic culture, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.
The biennial exhibition, co-hosted by the Inner Mongolia Artists Association and the Oil Painting Art Committee, will run until July 28.
With its theme of Integration and Expansion, this year's exhibition selected oil paintings by artists from Hohhot, Baotou, Ordos and Bayannuur.
The artwork on display is rich in content, with distinctive Inner Mongolia motifs and ethnic styles, according to the organizers.
