Baotou city beefs up its business environment

Updated: 2020-08-03

Baotou city in North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region has launched three measures to improve the effectiveness of its business environment to stimulate commerce and markets, according to a recent report in the Baotou Daily.

City officials said the efficacy of its business environment drives the region's core competitiveness.

They said that to further boost it, Baotou will speed a pilot reform centralizing its administrative licensing.

To smooth the way for investment projects and engineering construction projects, the development and reform departments of cities, counties and districts will establish enterprise service centers – in order to provide high-quality and efficient services for companies.

Officials said that recently the city issued its Work Plan for Comprehensively Improving Government Service Capability in Baotou and Building a First-class Government Service Platform.

This is expected to further extend reforms of investment approvals, construction project approvals and facilitate enterprise start-ups.

In order to improve Baotou's integrated online government services platform, the city has completed establishing data sharing with national and autonomous region level government service platforms.
