Baotou city's Shiguai district announces major projects
A total of seven major projects with an investment of 200 million yuan ($28.8 million) are to be developed in Shiguai district in Baotou city, in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, following a signing ceremony held on Aug 3, according to a report in the Baotou Daily.
The projects cover areas including development of the digital economy in Shiguai district, modern logistics and the services industry.
Digital economy projects include the Baotou Huawei Industrial Internet Cloud Project, the Baotou Supply Chain Operation Center Project and the Shiguai District Government Service Plus Blockchain Project.
Officials said the Huawei industrial internet cloud project is about bringing industrial digitization and production intelligence to Baotou city. It is being jointly developed by Shiguai district, Huawei Technology Co and China Mobile Baotou Branch.
Under the agreement, China Mobile Baotou Branch will invest 27 million yuan in the construction of the industrial cloud project, including data centers, exhibition halls and dedicated lines.
Officials said China Mobile Baotou Branch has already begun work, including site designs.
Huawei Technology Co is to invest in the construction of the L2 layer and cloud deployment of the project. Shiguai district is to provide the sites and support facilities.
