Baotou issues 132m yuan for infrastructure construction
Baotou in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region had allocated 132 million yuan ($19.65 million) of special funds for municipal infrastructure construction as of the end of August, according to the city's finance bureau.
The funds have mainly been used for the comprehensive repair and renovation of damaged roads and sidewalks, aging and missing lamps and cables, and bridge deck cracks, to ensure the efficient operation of municipal facilities and provide high-quality services to society.
In order to ensure the construction of key municipal projects, Baotou has allocated 100 million yuan in construction funds to promote the orderly implementation of key projects such as the transformation of rain and sewage combined pipelines, the transformation of old pipeline networks, and the treatment of stagnant water points in the main urban area.
In order to ensure the maintenance and repair of municipal facilities, a maintenance fund of 32 million yuan was allocated to centrally rectify municipal facilities such as roads, street lights, and bridges.
