N China's Baotou advances rare earth development

Baotou Rare Earth High-Tech Industrial Development Zone in Baotou, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has been making progress in developing its rare earth industry, according to Baotou Daily.

The Baotou Rare Earth Research and Development Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), located in the zone, has so far selected 12 mature laboratory projects, tracked 15 laboratory technologies in the rare earth field at home and abroad, built 10 technology pilot demonstration lines, and incubated 20 high-tech companies.
